About the Role:
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that drive our Mobile Video Applications for Transit. Your expertise will ensure scalability, performance, and security, allowing us to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver highly scalable products.
Continuously improve our development process and code base
Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes.
Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.
Diagnose and resolve product related customer issues.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent
Experience: 8+ years of professional software development experience
Skills:
Deep knowledge of least one of the programming languages: GoLang, C#
Proven experience in database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database schema design
Experience with transport protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS and working in a micro-services architecture
Good understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
Experience in cloud tools and technologies such as Azure, Docker, Kubernetes.
Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with:
Building video management and streaming applications
Big data and analytics platforms, AI/ML
Experience working networking protocols and Wi-Fi, Cellular communication technologies.
Expertise in designing and implementing application monitoring and observability solutions.
