LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Plano, TX.

Summary:
Primary responsibilities include all planning, design, implementation, optimization and maintenance of the network Will form and follow a standards-based architecture and design philosophy to assure the overall health, security and scalability of the network infrastructure
Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works with the business to extract IT requirements to determine network solutions
Analyzes business requirements and translates them into network solutions
Articulates network solutions to the business in a clear and concise manner
Produces detailed network design documentation, implementation plans and financial models
Regularly executes implementation plans with minimal business impact
Develops network solutions in alignment with security policies
Produces engineering and installation plans to support new initiatives as well as prepare reports and documentation on the existing network configuration as required.
Executes the full network planning, road mapping, design, implement, maintenance and optimization processes
Introduces new network technologies into the business
Oversees network implementations, ensuring adherence to security policies
Ensures network configurations are following industry best practices
Applies core body of networking knowledge across multiple vendors
Creates and delivers professional documents including RFPs, RFIs, SOWs
Reengineers complex network solutions, such as leading mergers and acquisitions, integration, & problem resolution
Assesses existing network solutions to identify improvement opportunities including automation, cost savings, simplification, increased reliability of the system
Competencies:
Broad knowledge of current and emerging network technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree preferred
5 + years’ experience in network architecture/engineering
Well versed in a multi vendor SASE Framework cloud based networking including Azure
Expert knowledge of Routing and Switching Technologies
Expert knowledge of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
Expert knowledge and execution of Cisco, Palo Alto and other network security solutions
Adept in telecommunications and data communications technologies .
Available for occasional travel
