POSITION SUMMARY Provides input and assistance on advanced reports and projects related to healthcare information technologies/systems. Assist with Sourcing Workflow projects to help create Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, analyzes vendor responses, and provides purchase recommendations to assist facilities with the acquisition of capital IT medical equipment. Researches and prepares new market intelligence and custom comparative analysis reports on specific types of healthcare information technologies/systems based on requests from ECRI member facilities. Monitors information entered in ECRIs product catalog system and makes recommendations for categorization and naming conventions. Initiates and oversees data cleaning and standardization projects related to various types of capital medical equipment. Synthesizes information from a variety of internal and external sources, including vendors, technical and business publications, and technology information services. Reviews reports from other ECRI groups and provides technical guidance for writers offering perspectives on current trends, models, and pricing. Works with ECRI member hospitals to assess equipment needs and identify appropriate vendors and models. Creates documents and reports for delivery to member facilities using ECRIs internal database and MS Office software applications. Provides mentoring and support for Level I analysts. Trains new analysts and reviews draft reports prior to delivery to clients. Other related tasks as assigned.
