SAIC Senior Database Quality Assurance and Testing Engineer in POINT MUGU NAWC, California
Description
SAIC is looking for a Senior Database Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing Engineer who will ensure compatibility and accuracy of scheduled product releases of the established Electronic Warfare Data System (EWDS) database. This position will be located in Point Mugu, CA and requires direct on-base/in lab support on a daily basis.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate executing Quality Assurance on all data products that are received to geographically separated customers using unique mission planning systems. Employee will be responsible to use the tools and scripts available to test the compatibility, accuracy, and maintaining version control of all products.
Specific responsibilities of the Sr Database QA and Testing Engineer include testing large databases, executing scripts, analyzing and resolving errors, and providing timely Quality Assurance to the Test lead. Employee will be required to maintain work tempo, track progress and communicate with testing team finding or compatibility concerns.
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required skills:
Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and requirements for end-user.
Executing test plans and test schedules on test cases and using test scripts.
Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment. Full understanding of the flow down of Interface Design Documents to Database Data Definitions for the output of version-controlled databases.
Experience in SQL, SQL programming and scripting is required.
Required clearance:
Must have a minimum of a Secret clearance in order to be considered for this position.
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance post hire.
Desired skills:
Experience working with large data sets and secure management systems, standards, requirements, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables.
Experience with Agile Product Management work environments.
Experience of working in a team environment with a challenging work tempo.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
