Job Summary
As an R&D Project Manager, you lead new product development projects to meet market objectives. You coordinate the activities of a multidisciplinary team on site, in France and abroad.
Responsibilities
Product design and development
• Define the parameters to be studied: nature of the product, usage parameters, industrialization process...
• Use different analytical methods to develop innovative solutions, taking into account technical constraints.
• Select and use available tools to optimize or create tests if necessary.
• Offer industrial protection through patent filing once the concept is completed.
• Define test plans for the test station.
• Interpret and validate test results.
• Align product specifications with customer tests and requests.
• If necessary, submit corrections to the technical documentation.
• Ensure design meets appropriate standards.
Project Planning
• Draw up plans defining deadlines, communication, budget, quality, stakeholders, risks, etc.
• Develop and monitor the schedule, budget, deliverables and objectives, OTP (Project Task Flow Chart), etc. to ensure the proper management of the project.
• Establish objectives for each key project performance criterion.
Project Management
• Monitor internal and external stakeholders involved in the project.
• Engage company employees and consultants as needed.
• Organize and manage communications and information flow within the project.
• Make decisions to move the project forward and resolve challenges.
• Improve project organization by creating “best practices” and using feedback.
• Escalate issues as required.
Risk management
• Identify and assess risks to project success.
• Develop action plans to manage and reduce risk throughout the project.
Basic Qualifications and key competencies
Graduate in mechanics and mechatronics
3 years experience in innovative project management in an international industrial environment
Entrepreneurial spirit focused on results and innovation
Ability to motivate and coordinate activities in project mode
Rigour and critical thinking
English read, written, spoken required
