Robert Half Purchasing Agent in Pooler, Georgia

Description We are in search of an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our manufacturing team located in Pooler, Georgia. The role entails leveraging your expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and procurement processes within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing subcontracting needs, understanding Brady compliance due to our government clients, and operating effectively in sourcing and procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics ERP, to streamline procurement processes.

• Work closely with the Vice President of Operations to ensure efficient procurement operations.

• Carry out vetting and auditing of subcontracting needs to maintain optimal manufacturing operations.

• Maintain a clear understanding of Brady compliance requirements due to our government client base.

• Operate effectively within a highly regulated sourcing and procurement environment.

• Leverage skills in IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, and About Time to perform tasks efficiently.

• Implement effective buying processes and component selection strategies.

• Provide exceptional customer service while handling customer inquiries and issues.

• Use your seasoned manufacturing experience to enhance our procurement processes.

• Regularly report on procurement operations and suggest improvements. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent in the Manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Experience with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and About Time software.

• Demonstrable experience as a Buyer and familiarity with Buying Processes.

• Knowledge of Component Selection in a manufacturing context.

• Excellent Customer Service skills with a track record of successfully handling client concerns.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
