Catawba Island Club Assistant Dining Operations Supervisor in Port Clinton, Ohio

Catawba Island Club is currently hiring an Assistant Dining Operations Supervisor for the upcoming 2024 season. Position Summary:

Catawba Island Club (CIC) invites you to join our team where we create exceptional experiences for our members through private dining and a diverse range of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, and celebrations. We are seeking a passionate Assistant Dining Operations Supervisor to assist in supervising and executing a la carte dining service, special events, and banquets while delivering exceptional customer service to our valued members and their guests.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or a relevant field is appreciated.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple activities effectively.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead each shift with enthusiasm and a positive attitude for the CIC team.
  • Foster strong relationships with CIC members and their guests by warmly greeting everyone.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers to arrange dining room and event setups.
  • Ensure that dining rooms and banquet rooms are arranged according to managerial standards.
  • Oversee catering and special events, including equipment setup, food transport, and buffet/plating.
  • Provide support to servers and bartenders during a la carte service.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all server closing duties and conduct a final walk-through in dining and banquet rooms.
  • Promptly report any maintenance needs to the head of maintenance.

Minimum Physical Job Requirements:

  • Ability to stay mobile for periods exceeding 4 hours.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and shifts exceeding 10 hours.
