Kuehne+Nagel Sea Logistics Sales Representative in Port Elizabeth, South Africa
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Sea Logistics Sales Representative with sea logistics sales experience and strong motivation to hunt for new business and take on an evolving role in Port Elizabeth.
Your Role
In this role, you will acquire, win and retain new customers. As a Sea Logistics Sales Representative of the company, you will maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders and maximize business opportunities to achieve agreed goals. You will spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business, and working hand in hand with the Customer Care Personnel (customer care tasks) on the same customers. You will take pricing decision in alignment with the Customer Care Manager, and following the Trade Management/Pricing recommendations. You will be account owner of sales accounts (personally own an account portfolio).
Your Responsibilities
Generate new businessopportunities in Sea Logistics with a clear focus on SMEs, as well asmaintain and develop the existing customers
Take pricing decisionsin alignment with the Customers Care Managers
Prepare quotations usingour online tools and submit our proposal to the customers
Develop expert marketknowledge and demonstrate superior Sea Logistics products
Monitor competition bygathering current marketplace information on pricing and products
Report customercomplaints to the Customer Care Team
Work and buildrelationships internally with our other departments : Customer care, Routedevelopment, Pricing teams…
Your Skills and Experiences
Degree in Logistics,Supply Chain or a similar discipline
Minimum 2 years'experience in the freight forwarding industry, ideally with a focus on sealogistics sales
Excellent presentation,communication and negotiation skills
Fluency in Englishlanguage is mandatory,
Strong commercial skills
Strong customer focusand sensitivity towards stakeholder relationship
