LAUNDRY OPERATOR Barron Center, Linen Services\ Permanent, Full-time 37.5 hours per week.\ Weekly schedule: Friday - Tuesday 6:30AM-2:30PM.

The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maines largest skilled nursing facility. Now is your chance to have the job you always wanted - being a part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of the residents of the Barron Center.

Duties may include:

  • Distributing clean linen within the facility.
  • Rubbish removal
  • Loading and unloading commercial washers and dryers.
  • Folding and sorting linen.
  • Picking up soiled linen.
  • Hanging and delivering personal laundry.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing over 50 lbs. for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions.
  • Must possess a valid Maine Class C drivers license.
  • Must be able to follow oral and simple written instructions.

\ Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, CEBA Grade 5, starting pay range \$17.37- \$19.32 per hour
