Kuehne+Nagel Data Solutions Architect (m/f/d) in Porto, Portugal

Your Role
You will help data product teams take advantage of a modern data architecture for our company, fitting the needs of a data-driven logistics enterprise and ensuring that cloud-based infrastructure is utilized as efficiently as possible across data products and systems. You champion practices like big data processing, cloud development, and warehousing for data product teams, supporting them in integrating their solution and needs into the surrounding infrastructure and processes.
Your Responsibilities
Be a reference point on architecture definition and building of data products;
Serve as a contact point for customers on the data platform team, providing them with proper onboarding and guidelines;
Guide and consult teams on building and operating tools and blueprints for modern data processing and transformation in data products;
Support data products through their entire lifecycle - from ideation and specification, architectural design, prototyping, and integration into productive systems;
Play an active role in bringing more data products and initiatives into the platform landscape, incorporating business and IT teams.
Your Skills and Experiences
You have ample hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (optimally AWS);
Advanced hands-on experience with big data/data mesh architectures in enterprise settings, as well as with the corresponding systems and tools (Snowflake is a plus);
Experience with data pipelines involving micro-batching and real-time data on distributed environments;
You have an attitude to build solutions that do not "reinvent the wheel" but rather serve as blueprints for tackling similar or even new challenges;
Collaborative work in international teams inspires you.
