Kuehne+Nagel Lead DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) in Porto, Portugal

Your Role

As a DevOps Engineer for our SeaAllocation product, you will work with an international product team supporting and enhancing our mission-critical application, connecting +Nagel to our customers and external partners worldwide, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participate in the management of our mission critical application;

  • Perform the installation, configuration and administration of integration, test and production systems;

  • Constantly improve and adapt monitoring, logging and alerting systems;

  • Identify, break and resolve issues with our shared middleware components using structured troubleshooting approaches;

  • Analyse complex communication scenarios and provide 3rd level operations support.

  • Maintaining communication to other cross-teams (such as infrastructure and surrounding products).

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills (log analysis, etc.), passion for solving complex technical challenges;

  • Strong communication skills, passionate about interacting with internal and external customers as well as other teams from around the world;

  • Experience in operating Java, RHEL-based applications;

  • Expert knowledge of troubleshooting enterprise database systems (Oracle and PostgreSQL preferred);

  • Writing skills to automate routine tasks (example: Python, Bash);

  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CI / CD tools like Ansible and Jenkins,

  • Experience with AWS

  • Fluency in verbal and written English is required.
