Sodexo is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian for Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill located in Pottsville, PA. This position will cover a variety of patients at this 120-bed medical facility, and will work inpatient three days a week, and at the Outpatient Nutrition Clinic two days a week. The Clinical Nutrition team at LVHN is 70+ dietitians strong, with a supportive leadership team. Our dietitians have the opportunity to participate in research, process improvement and professional growth.

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;

• provide MNT counseling to patients one day a week in the outpatient setting;

• work a rotating weekend schedule;

• participate in quality improvement initiatives within the nutrition department; and

• educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses.

• Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in PA;

• experience in the healthcare setting, preferably inpatient;

• strong verbal and written communication skills;

• good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player; and

• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
