Description
Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an inpatient Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work in collaboration with its growing Medical Oncology team. This position will coordinate, oversee and provide advanced nursing care to medical oncology patients.
Job Highlights
• Works collaboratively with physicians and nurses and is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients.
• Conducts comprehensive and episodic heath history and physical assessment of patients.
• Oversees treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
• Writes orders within the limits of the practice agreement.
• Maintains clinical documentation according to group practice.
• Participates in clinical quality and research as needed.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers on treatment plans.
• Participates in learning opportunities.

Salary Range: $105,000-$150,000 annually;commensurate or relative to experience
