Berlitz Languages, a leader in language education has an immediate need for an English Instructor. Ideally, the candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with experience teaching adults and children.
This face to face charter group program will take place for a duration of 5-6 months, starting as soon as possible. The candidate will commute to our customers residence to provide the language lessons. The candidate must live in a commutable distance to the Westbrook and Scarborough area and have general availability during business hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver lessons in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles: focusing on the goals, needs, and interests of students
- Responsible for keeping student pedagogical and attendance records up to date
- Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and maintain shared teaching resource materials
- Travel to clients home to deliver lessons
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Teaching experience is required.
- Instructor candidates must demonstrate a minimum proficiency level of Berlitz Level 1
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Basic administrative skills, and computer knowledge to deliver lessons, and maintain student records.
SALARY: \$24.00 per hour (\$18.00 per unit) + mileage reimbursement for travel
