Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. seeks a Senior Business Analyst for its Princeton, NJ location.Duties: Analyze technical and operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop recommendations for process re-engineering, process optimization, and automation across multiple technical platforms. Develop system and user acceptance/system integration/regression test plans/scenarios, identify root cause and resolve issues. Conduct process mapping and narrative documentation across the commercial insurance business processes across multiple technical platforms. Document business requirements via multiple project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall). Perform role of Subject Matter Expert across policy administration and support applications across entire commercial insurance policy lifecycle. Responsible for documentation of and training end-users based on business and technical system release notes. Applied knowledge of Underwriting Workbench software implementation across the Commercial insurance process landscape, including product wire frame creation and business rule definitions, such as UX/User Experience, UI/User Interface design. Lead cross functional requirements elicitation workshop sessions using techniques such as Joint Application Development (JAD), Joint Requirements Planning (JRP) and/or Joint Applications Requirements (JAR). Document and interpret commercial insurance pricing/rating algorithms, including complex ISO/Insurance Services Office rules, proprietary/custom rating rules for full suite of insurance products. Interpret and analyze commercial insurance risk management reporting and financials such as Loss Runs, Financial Statement, impact of data entry fields in downstream financial systems. Support a portfolio of change management initiatives across the various business units within the organization including supporting the onboarding of our Insurtech partners and implementation of those programs into the market. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for key IT transformation projects and processes. Preserve work products and artifacts, as well as understand core computer systems in the value chain such as Duck Creek and D365. Analyze the underlying data needed to inform recommendations and navigating the dashboards and reports to monitor project progress, KPIs, and other key metrics.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or data/technology related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, Systems Analyst, or closely related position. Candidate’s prior work experience must include: A minimum of 3 years experience in Insurance Policy Administration Systems for Commercial Lines and Personal Lines Insurance; A minimum of 3 years experience in Property, Casualty and Personal Lines Insurance knowledge, including ISO and carrier custom rules and forms; A minimum of 3 years experience in interpreting rating algorithms and methodologies used in insurance products; A minimum of 3 years of applied knowledge in insurance policy administration systems Duck Creek or Majesco & associated supporting upstream/downstream systems (e.g. quote, submission, clearance, billing); Experience with multiple requirements management and associated tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps; Data analysis and reporting of data using tools such as Oracle PL/SQL; Ability to develop product wireframes and business rule definitions across business process landscape; Using Joint Application Development (JAD), Joint Requirements Planning (JRP) during technical and functional requirements documentation; Demonstrated ability to review details of Functional and Technical Design documentation of software product enhancements; and, experience with documentation of test cases and managing and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing and System Testing processes. May telecommute but must have ability to report to Princeton, NJ office at least two (2) times per week. Requires 25% domestic travel. Salary range is from $147,285 to $147,285.
