About this Role

The Traveling Project Coordinator will be based out of Prineville, Oregon's office for the Major Projects division, but will service contracts in various areas/states like Idaho, Montana, Oregon and more, we go where the contracts drive us!

Our Major projects division will be servicing a majority of the PNW and NW with our current and upcoming contracts.

AS A TRAVELING PROJECT COORDINATOR YOU WILL BE TRAVELING 100% OF THE TIME

The Project Coordinator will provide overall administrative, technical, financial, and resource management of the project from initial bid preparation through completion, under the guidance of the project management organization. Responsible for delivering the project safely, in accordance with quality standards, on time, and within budget. This is an administrative support position that will be done while traveling and in the field, mostly.

Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC. is a utility construction company. We install fiber optic cable for some of the top communication companies in NW and the Western regions. We specialize in the installation of fiber optics and renewable energy.

What You'll Do

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Willing and able to travel 100% of the time between the Prineville, Oregon location and any and all projects you over see for the major projects division.

  • Work with safety personnel to ensure that project is being built in accordance with OSHA and company regulations and that proper training is occurring

  • Sales force administration

  • Responsible for the project financials and contract management. Works closely with the Project Management Organization to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational best practices

  • Works closely with the construction management to ensure successful delivery of the project

  • Define problems, collect information, and establish facts to provide an appropriate resolution

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers

  • Setup, organize, update, and maintain electronic and printed files of project documents utilizing various systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, TAPs; EcoSys ; and others

  • Manage budget projection for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project

  • Responsible for working with Project Controls Manager to provide project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting

  • Responsible for the invoicing or payment application process as well as monitoring the quality of weekly labor, timecard approvals and equipment hours, material, and subcontractor reporting

  • Develop, submit , track, and maintain all project s u bmittals and requests for information Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management

  • Timecard entry

  • General administrative support of Projects requirement.

  • Implementation of safety policies, training, and reporting

  • Reception and processing of job applicants

  • Assisting new employees during onboarding

  • Processing and filing deliveries to the office and yard

What You'll Bring

Requirements:

  • Previous construction experience, preferably in the underground industry

  • Ability to follow directions and take initiative when needed.

  • Ability to understand all underground procedures and duties.

  • Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening)

  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks

  • Travel is a MUST as needed to support the projects you are assigned to

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint required; Visio, PowerPoint preferred)

    Working Conditions:

    This is a full-time position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an indoor/outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.

    Physical Requirements:

    The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time as necessary, tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: hand digging, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.

    Compensation Range

    The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $65,000/Yr. - USD $75,000/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.

    • Pay is based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the employee.
