Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Pay / Salary: $58,620 - $65,198
SUMMARY
Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and information to inform decision-making and enhance the overall effectiveness of Mountainland Technical College.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Data Collection: Assist in the collection of relevant data from various sources within the college, such as student records, surveys, institutional databases, and external data sources. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Data Analysis: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of collected data using statistical software and other analytical tools. Identify trends, patterns, and relationships within the data to generate meaningful reports and recommendations. Register students and take payments.
Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate research findings and key performance indicators to college administrators, faculty, and staff. Develop clear and concise summaries of complex data for different stakeholders.
Institutional Effectiveness: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the college's strategic planning and assessment processes. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of various programs, initiatives, and services to drive continuous improvement and meet institutional goals. Be able to take payments, close out a cash drawer, and troubleshoot errors.
COMPETENCIES
Familiarity with research methodologies, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis methods.
Fast and accurate data entry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to organize and present findings effectively.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
1+ years of experience in data reporting and analysis.
Experience utilizing databases and data tools.
Experience in Excel and Microsoft Word.
Experience in Gmail and Google Apps.
Knowledge and understanding of data analysis, reporting, and research.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, social sciences, or a related field.
Knowledge of higher education policies, accreditation standards, and institutional effectiveness concepts.
Proficiency in statistical software packages and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Excel, Power BI, etc.).
