Description

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Knowledge of all aspects of the SBHC Program.

  2. Manage recall lists for needed dental appointments and schedule when due

  3. Manage parental consent forms for services and send requests for updated documents when needed

  4. Review scheduled appointments for completion of needed paperwork through chart preparation and flag accounts who require additional information

  5. Update insurance information received on paperwork and consents in the patient chart

  6. Schedule follow up appointments including treatment, 6-month rechecks and sealants as requested by the dental hygienist.

  7. Send letters to parents regarding future appointments and seek updated consents when due

  8. Send communication to patient’s primary dentist following an enrollment or visit in our office

  9. Track referrals made to ensure follow up appointments have been made

  10. Track monthly and annual enrollment in the SBHC dental program

  11. Complete NYS Department of Health quarterly reporting

  12. Prepare monthly Quality Management Committee reports

  13. Prepare monthly reports for staff completion such as Well Child Checks

  14. Answer incoming phone calls, transfer patients calls where needed and schedule appointments as appropriate

  15. Represent the SBHC program at school open houses and other outreach events.

  16. Assist with and promote all processes associated with the Coleman initiative

  17. Promoting Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives

  18. Assist SBHC staff with all other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education Requirements:

A. High school graduate or GED

B. Verbal and written communication skills, office applications preferred

C. Demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills when necessary

D. Comply with the organizations code of conduct, safety rules and adheres to all company policies

E. Carry out job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner

F. Must be willing and demonstrate the ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with coworkers and supervisors

G. Must demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic medical record system

H. Must possess the ability to firmly pursue payments on account

I. Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position

Salary Description

$15.25-$17.75 Depending on Experience
