OEC Group Technical Project Manager (Sales & Marketing) in Queens, New York

Job Summary

Act as the regional service owner for our company’s Sales and Marketing IT service including EDI/API message bus, Rate and Quotation Management solutions, PO management, and more.

What we’re looking for…

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in IT project management / product delivery or a similar role

  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus!

    What you will do:

  • Engage in the role as the regional US service owner

  • Engage US key stakeholders to:

  • Define and drive regional VOC (Voice of Customer) routines to continuous collect service feedback

  • Formulate and communicate customer / business requirements with global IT teams

  • Collaborate with IT and business product owners globally to align service roadmap

  • Host regional Business and IT review to confirm business development priorities

  • Be the 1st line of business requirement reviewer to eliminate any ambiguity, seek clarifications and follow up to ensure all aspects of the requirements are covered and clearly documented

  • Play the role as the technical project manager

  • Collaborate with product owner(s) and project managers (business and IT backend), to deliver solutions through project management phases from requirement specification, design to test and release

  • Manage IT project schedule and ensure scope/quality control

  • Support/co-Build regional scope IT Sales and Marketing solutions (EDI/API projects…) with suppliers and/or HQ IT teams.

  • Run in the role as the regional US service owner…

  • Manage Incident resolution and Service request fulfillment

  • Act as L2 support as the US part of a global 14/5 operation, front by Service Desk (L1)

  • Monitor and maintain the service health and availability

  • Manage enhancement / change requests

  • Control normal change requests and delivery routines

  • Facilitate and/or emergency change procedures

  • Knowledge Management

  • Continuously improve L1 / end user knowledge to increase self-service/service efficiency (Shift Left)

  • Define, document and communicate support procedures and policies

  • Drive service feedback / improvement with Business stakeholders

  • Coordinate feature delivery, releases and change management with development teams and local stakeholders

  • Ensure optimal operation service level, as the regional escalation point for Sales and Marketing IT service requests and issue resolution

    Who you are:

  • You are known to be the calming presence under pressure; able to understand complex issue and break it down into smaller manageable requests

  • You are comfortable in communicating, negotiating and managing stakeholders across all levels/departments, speaking their lingo for easy understanding, often summarize and articulate on-the-go to improve discussion focus during sessions

  • You are outspoken when needed, ready to challenge logically, business/IT requirements/constraints, to understand the purpose/root cause, and ready to drive/propose a better alternative

  • You work autonomously and proactively to act on what needs to be done, across domains (IT application, infrastructure, and Business lines) to drive a product from conception to run

    What you should know / have:

  • Technical Skills

  • EDI/API development

  • Logistic rate and quotation management systems (Magaya, CargoSphere, CargoWise…)

  • Software Development methodology (SDLC, Agile)

  • PO management solutions

  • Project management (Agile/SCRUM, PMP…)

  • IT service management (ITSM)

    Work schedule: 

    New York Office: 9 am-6 pm EST (Hybrid)

    Work Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in IT project management / product delivery or a similar role

  • Prior experience in logistics / freight forwarding / NVOCC business highly preferred.

    Salary Range

    $130,000-$150,000 annually based on education and experience level.
