Job Description:

We’re looking for a Data Analytics Manager to join our Advanced Analytics and Insights team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to manage a team and will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating multiple business initiatives to identify, document, analyze and provide solutions related to complex processing, service and/or technical improvement opportunities. Business initiatives include implementations of new technologies and new product development.

Key Responsibilities (Individual)

  • Define and manage the scope, strategy, and requirements of business unit stakeholders and translating them into decision support solutions for business unit stakeholders with specific emphasis on creating integrated strategic solutions that reflect the viewpoint of the customer

  • Manage a team supporting business initiatives and implementations of analytics and insights products and services using new technologies and new product development

  • Facilitate development of creative solutions involving workflow procedures and/or new technologies

  • Provide effective communication with business unit management as well as business partners across the division

  • Develop journey maps to help illustrate current operations from the customer point of view and to identify areas of improvement

  • Propose, develop, and execute customer-facing research and feedback loops

  • Advocate for the customer internally

  • Educate internal associates about how to incorporate the voice of the customer into their projects and processes

  • Represent and advocate for business unit in major division or corporate initiatives ensuring business unit needs are appropriately addressed • Stay current on customer, market and industry trends affecting the business area and the Company

  • Full resource management responsibility

  • Decision making for hiring, terminating, training/developing and compensation changes for the team

  • Customer feedback approaches

  • Business decisions outside of process and procedure.

  • Signoff on base level approval processes.

  • Determining project staffing needs

  • Coordinating vendor feedback

  • Define business outcome of deliverables

  • Managing project scope

Key Responsibilities (Shared)

  • Works with business partners to continually search for ways to incorporate the voice of the customer and customer feedback into the systems, processes, and products that we offer

  • Coordinates project management for tactical and strategic initiatives

  • Assists with reporting on monthly metrics and project status

  • Responsible for directing activities of other team members depending on project initiatives

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree or equivalent business experience, preference for business, finance, statistics, engineering, management core courses

  • Experience: 5+ years progressive business analysis and/or project management experience supporting significant business initiatives with strong understanding of financial and/or marketing data

  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)

  • Shift Schedule: Amenability to work on the assigned schedule (dependent on business need)

  • People Leader: Yes

  • Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:

  • Prior experience gathering, and interpreting customer feedback

  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to build team consensus

  • Able to translate issues and problems into effective business solutions

  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities of multiple large initiatives

  • Strong communications skills, able to articulate business cases clearly and effectively when presenting information

  • Familiarity with agile framework

  • Demonstrates exceptional judgment and flexibility in a dynamic environment

  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of system design, process design, analysis, and productivity improvement methodologies

  • Good knowledge of insurance or financial industry including product development, distribution, customer and administration services and regulatory structure
