What will you do?

As Quotation Specialist, you will provide Quotation for Engineered drives and low voltage motors Functionally reporting to the Application engineering lead, you will play an instrumental role in technically supporting the pre and post sales activities for the Electrical Product business in Canada. You will be passionate about exceeding customer expectations and working with a sense of urgency. Your role will involve:

  • The analysis of customer requirements and relating these requirements to the application using the Electrical Products product portfolio

  • Working closely with Siemens Sales Organization and Siemens Solution Partners, to demonstrate

  • technical features and benefits of Siemens Electrical Products portfolio

  • Your understanding of our value-added service offerings are paramount in partnering with customers to further understand their needs in order to provide them with a technical Consultative solution

  • Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understand customer’s technical requirements and develop Bill of Material of products and work with Siemen’s factories to develop final quotation

  • Answer Customer’s Technical questions and provide necessary Technical and commercial clarifications

  • Ability to handle multiplier projects at the same time and co-ordinate with vendors, internal and

  • external customers

  • Ability to read single line diagrams and understand Electrical Terminology/specifications and translate this to the quote preparation

  • Technically represent and interface with Siemens HQ and Competence center on complex customer projects

  • Engage with our target market segments and continually work to improve technical skills and knowledge

  • Prepare project hand over documentation and support order managements during project execution.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred, Electrical diploma

  • Strong knowledge in Electrical theory

  • Strong experience working in electrical distribution

  • 5 years experience with reading Single line Diagram

  • 5 years of Quotation preparation experience with the Canadian Electrical Code.

  • Must be able to understand various steps within project management process

  • Must be Bilingual English and French

  • Excellent written and verbal skills in French and in English as the role require to

  • interact with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, nationally;
