Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Ramsey, New Jersey. The role involves working in the telecom industry, specifically dealing with account reconciliation, payment processing, and data entry. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Handle accounts payable for the company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoice processing
• Maintain and update financial records, including the coding of invoices
• Carry out account reconciliation tasks to verify that all transactions are recorded correctly
• Perform regular check runs to ensure all payments are made on schedule
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks
• Conduct data entry tasks with high accuracy, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in customer credit accounts promptly
• Monitor customer credit accounts, taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Collaborate with the team to improve existing accounting procedures and processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Familiarity with Data Entry and Invoice Processing tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle and QuickBooks software
• Familiarity with SAP
• Previous experience in a similar role as an Accounts Payable Clerk
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
