Robert Half Infrastructure Design Specialist in Rancho Palos Verdes, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Support Project Manager/Lead in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The role primarily involves working in the telecom industry, providing support to the Project Manager and occasionally visiting the workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting thorough security hardware assessments and basic network infrastructure evaluations.
• Designing camera systems based on detailed site analysis.
• Creating detailed site maps after physical inspection.
• Managing and coordinating travel for on-site assessments and troubleshooting across various locations.
• Utilizing skills in Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Hyperion Technologies, IBM, About Time, Budget Processes, C-Suite, Customer Service, Design, Basic Network Troubleshooting, Cisco Networking, and Vendor Relations.
• Engaging in network refreshes and installation of cables & network hardware, and access points.
• Demonstrating project management skills and understanding how to put together proposals or workflows & gather requirements.
• Understanding project specifications and having a good understanding of building infrastructure.
• Traveling with team members for initial months for on-site assessments.
• Actively participating in project management activities and understanding how to assemble proposals, workflows, and requirements.
• Having a solid understanding of building infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be expected to travel up to 60% of the time, including possible flights to other states, and will be required to occasionally visit the office in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Support Project Manager/Lead role or similar
• Proficiency in database management is required
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies is essential
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is a must
• Experience with Hyperion Technologies is necessary
• Proficiency in IBM systems is preferred
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software is required
• Understanding of budget processes is essential
• Experience dealing with C-Suite level clients or stakeholders is necessary
• Strong customer service skills are required
• Design skills are a must
• Basic network troubleshooting skills are essential
• Familiarity with Cisco Networking is required
