Description

SUMMARY:   Responsible for maintaining and supporting the network infrastructure and supported locations.  Monitor agency helpdesk requests.  Provides technical support to staff members for both software and hardware issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage IPSec VPN tunnels in a Sonic wall-based environment.
  • Manage Wireless Lan Controller based wireless networks.
  • Verify service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems. 
  • Document network by labeling of routing equipment and cables. 
  • Monitor and maintain Help Desk and Help Desk ticket system.
  • Install and maintain computer hardware and software assets. 
  • Configure and install new workstations in a networked environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair agency hardware systems.
  • Responsible for the setup of conference room AV equipment as needed.
  • Attend training as necessary.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA & HRSA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Maintain up to date documentation on helpdesk knowledge base.
  • Maintain inventory documentation concerning IT related assets.
  • Assist in the decommissioning of IT Assets prior to disposal and/or auction (forensically wiping hard drives or other data storage devices).
  • Assist IT Manager and/or IT Director in upgrading/updating Network when needed.
  • Travel to all locations throughout the area to perform onsite support to meet client and agency needs
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Knowledge of routing protocols in a Network environment.
  • Knowledge of Layer2Layer 3 switching configuration and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge of various PC hardware and software. 
  • Extensive knowledge of PC network operations, software, hardware, printers, and networked copiers.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Pro operating systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, configuration, maintenance in a multi-site, multi-server environment.
  • Knowledge of internet connectivity, security, firewalls, and virus control across the network.
  • Knowledge of user PC training procedures.
  • Knowledge of LAN structured cabling techniques.
  • Must be a self-starter with effective verbal, organizational, documentation and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid Ohio driver's license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check. 
  • Training/experience in networking and computer configuration 
  • Experience in networking -- Required 

EDUCATION/LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or 
  • Relevant experience with certifications Comp TIA A+.
  • Valid Ohio drivers license
