We are hiring for a Principal Program Manager. As the Principal Program Manager, you will be instrumental in steering our Commercial Cloud expansion to meet and exceed customer expectations. Your pivotal role encompasses refining our region launch processes and procedures, ensuring they are in lockstep with our principles and contribute to the uniformity of our region launches.

This role will forge and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the data center industry spectrum.

Leverage your business acumen and technical expertise to bolster ongoing customer engagement, guaranteeing that our region delivery resonates with customer expectations. Exercise relentless curiosity to uncover and implement process enhancements, thereby fortifying our governance frameworks as we ambitiously expand our commercial cloud footprint.

  • This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

  • Relocation support will be provided; successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership : Spearhead a team of Regional Launch Program Managers, fostering a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement in line with our launch governance protocols and principles.

  • Process Enhancement : Utilize insights from Post Mortems and Root Cause Analyses to refine region launch processes, ensuring adherence to our high standards and driving ongoing enhancements.

  • Customer Engagement : Lead Anchor Customer interactions to identify critical workloads, orchestrating service and capacity availability in accordance with Late Bind processes to meet strategic objectives.

  • Long-Term Planning : Champion long-term regional health initiatives by applying Regional Maxima principles, focusing on sustained customer success and operational accomplishment.

  • Collaboration : Improve interdepartmental relationships within CO+I and with key stakeholders, promoting a unified approach to region expansion that embodies our One Microsoft ethos.

  • Stakeholder Management : Align internal and external stakeholders with the Worldwide Region Launch Schedule, refining change control and signal management processes to ensure cohesive launch activities at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

  • 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos)

Technical Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
