We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join the team.The Software Engineer II role is in Medical Imaging AI team where we are incubating the next generation of healthcare ai tools, empowering our customers to do more with their healthcare data and improve safety of their

solutions. You will get to learn from the thought leaders in this problem space, use the latest engineering tools to build world class products that ship in Azure.

Responsibilities

We are looking for people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and

well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement code for a product, service, or feature.Maintain communication with key partners across the Microsoft ecosystem of engineers, designers and business leaders.

  • Contribute to efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.

  • Contribute to efforts to create and maintain good practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment systems.

  • Contribute to efforts to collect, classify, and analyze data with little oversight on a range of metrics.

  • Contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, Javascript,

  • OR Python OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of development experience of cloud-based systems and the use of REST protocols.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud

Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience developing user-facing web applications using React or other similar technologies

  • Experience with machine learning technologies such as convolutional neural networks; classifier, segmentation, regression models; large language models

  • Experience with medical domain including technologies such as DICOM, FHIR

  • Experience with computer vision technologies such as image recognition, scene understanding, instance segmentation

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
