Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

As a critical part of the PDM (Product Data Management) Engineering team within Microsoft’s CSCP Organization, the Technical Program Manager will help define the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) digital thread throughout the Azure deployment pipeline. We are all about improving BOM (Bill of Material) quality, change control, and optimizing day to day operations. Responsibilities

• Program manage key product data management transformation & continuous improvement initiatives through program lifecycle

• Help define next generation product data management models, processes, and tools to scale with Microsoft’s growth

• Define & translate business requirements, delivering process improvements and/or systems solutions

• Support & enable the vision and future state product data strategy, process & systems roadmap with clear articulation of business impact/ROI (Return on Investment), success metrics, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for capabilities

• Work with engineering, product data management engineering, and partner organizations to define capabilities, drive prioritization of work, delivery schedules and resources needed

• Own the change management, internal and stakeholder alignment to support the deployment of new systems and automation, ensuring complete internal and cross-functional process alignment

• Display technical aptitude through visual and verbal communication skills with ability to influence business and technical decision makers

• Manage expectations of all stakeholder parties, build global relationships, gain consensus, remove tension/roadblocks and focus on the solution

• Perform data analysis and presentation through SQL, PowerBI and similar mediums

• Implement measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision making

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program/Project management related to cloud, infrastructure, supply chain, or product data operations

  • Demonstrated bias for action, problem-solving, and comfort driving to clarity in a high degree of ambiguity

  • Ability to create and deliver executive friendly communications on complex solutions

  • Ability to interact with and influence diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels

  • Six sigma experience a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft O365 applications, Visio, MS Project, and Power BI

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
