Totara Learning Solutions FP&A Analyst in Remote, United Kingdom
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic team at Totara, a leading LMS SaaS business with £20+ million ARR. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience in financial planning and analysis or practice, and a deep understanding of the SaaS business model.
Role Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management.
Collaborate with various departments to gather data and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in the implementing the finance team strategy
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Support the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, adjusting for changing business conditions.
Reporting & Analysis:
Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting aligned to the budget / forecast.
Generate and distribute financial reports, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc analysis.
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing recommendations for improvement.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field; and relevant certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
2-3 years of experience in FP&A or public practice, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector.
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of SaaS metrics and KPIs is highly desirable.
Experience using SQL / Python for data collation and analysis would be desirable.
