JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring equipment, and fixtures. Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location or wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Place conduit, pipes, or tuning, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through to complete circuits between boxes.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain or repair wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Use a variety of hand tools or equipment to perform job duties.
  • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects or need for repair and ensure compliance with codes.
  • Notify supervisor/manager concerning the need for additional repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to read written instructions.
  • Electrician certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Complete Bandit's crane and/or forklift or other safety trainings may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
  • Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
  • Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
  • Frequently lift 50 pounds
  • Occasionally lift 60 pounds
