Precise Systems, Inc. Billing Specialist in Reston, Virginia

Precise Systems is seeking a highly self-motivated, Billing Specialist in a fast-paced Federal government contracting environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare monthly and semi-monthly Cost Plus and Time & Materials project invoices.

  • Collaborate with Project Finance accountants to ensure invoice accuracy and proper backups and schedules are attached.

  • Timely submission of Prime invoices through using Wide Area Workflow (WAWF ) and Subcontract invoices to the corresponding Prime contractors

  • Project set up and ongoing project updates as provided by the Project Finance accountants

  • Contribute to process improvements and billing efficiencies

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

  • Prefer bachelors in finance-related discipline

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in government or government contracting, finance environment

Desired Experience:

  • Strong familiarity with the FAR and government contracting concepts, practices and procedures

  • Proficiency with Deltek CostPoint, Project set up and billing

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented

  • Positive, customer-service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, follow-through on projects, and complete work accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention-to-detail.

  • Flexible and willing to adjust to the needs and priorities of a growing business.
