ICF Project Coordinator and Operations Assistant in Reston, Virginia

Description

ICF is seeking an early career management consultant professional that will support Federal clients as a project coordinator, as well as support internal leadership with operations and business development. As project coordinator, they will help ensure technology implementation projects run efficiently and effectively. They will support the project manager and internal team in gathering resources and information to implement project objectives. This includes maintaining budgets and work schedules, organizing, and participating in meetings, and ensuring all deadlines are met. As operations assistant, they will provide key support to leadership to help with administrative and operational support, ensuring smooth workflow and successful outcomes. This includes coordinating tasks, managing communications, providing data and knowledge management, and supporting business development. This position has the ability to work remotely the majority of the time, with possible occasional travel. The ideal candidate will have an interest in project management, consulting, and technology implementation. The individual needs to be a self-starter with exceptional organization and attention to detail. They will work with a team to:

Schedule and participate in meetings.

  • Plan and manage team goals, project schedules, and new information.

  • Maintain situational awareness of current projects, coordinating all team members to keep workflow on track.

  • Manage project-related administrative activities by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored.

  • Prepare communications to clients and internal staff.

  • Design and use project management tools customized to the client’s needs that allow for the ability to track milestones, budget, and resources.

  • Review project deliverables, including editing and formatting in accordance with strong professional standards.

  • Assist with identifying, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements.

  • Assist and support fact-finding activities for low and moderate complexity IT projects.

  • Handle correspondence between different departments and external parties.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive databases, reports, and spreadsheets.

  • Track organizational metrics, financials, and related information.

  • Identify areas for operational improvements and contribute to innovation.

  • Collaborate with team members to keep the line of business running smoothly.

  • Engage in business development activities, including identifying and tracking opportunities and coordinating with BD teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in Business, IT, Marketing or Finance preferred.

  • Ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high quality results according to deadlines.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

  • Interest in helping clients solve problems, ideally with a human centered design approach

  • Analytical skills and the ability to provide insight into project progress and operational improvements

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment with strict deadlines

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions

  • Superior attention to detail in all elements of work

  • Ability to take initiative and ownership with minimal direction from senior staff

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$47,717.00 - $81,118.00
