Summary

The Manager, IT Solutions provides business, process and technical expertise to teams that are responsible for assessing, designing, delivering and supporting IT solutions to clients and customers. The successful candidate will manage Azure infrastructure, the on-premise server application and the Cloud application used for hosting Celestica Richardson’s MES. They will lead integration requirements with customers to advise and determine the scope and feasibility/technical hurdles of any proposed integrations, as well as support site design and deployments in areas such as ERP, MES,EDIs, B2B and digital factory program initiatives.

The Manager, IT Solutions will also have the experience and responsibility to ensure that solution team members that are external to IT or even Celestica will also provide quality input and deliverables in a way that meets Celestica's overall goals and requirements, and will need to manage relationships and negotiate and resolve conflict when necessary. The Manager, IT Solutions will have the knowledge and experience to establish goals and strategies in areas of specialty, and make or guide decisions that steer the overall team activities in the established strategic direction.

Detailed Description

  • Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of complex IT solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of large-scale and technically sophisticated clients

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, establishing and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and strategic planning

  • Manage Azure infrastructure in terms of:

  • Monitor Web Application and Database Metrics, eg. % of App server response time, database DTU %

  • Execute Start,Stop,Restart on Web Application

  • Cloud implementation, administration and server management and governance

  • Provide technical support and answer general queries on Azure related

  • Monitor cost and implement alerts, calculate/plan for resource upgrade if production ramp up

  • Escalation to MSFT/IBM for issues that require vendor support

  • Scale up and down the database in case of production volume increase or decrease

  • Manage the On-premise server application in terms of:

  • Configure and support the SpectrumPro (MES) print service application (Bartender/Loftware), DES Application and other data feed application

  • Execute the deployment of SpectrumPro (MES) print service application (Bartender/Loftware), DES, Datafeed application in production environment for new version

  • Perform testing on SpectrumPro (MES) print server, DES and Datafeed application

  • Deploy new version of on premise applications in QA and Production environment

  • Enhancement and bug fix of on-premise applications ( DES, Print Service, Datafeed).\

  • Manage the Cloud application in terms of:

  • Provide support and answer on site business users for general queries related to SpectrumPro (MES)

  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with business/end users for new version release new deployment

  • Train end users, business users on new SpectrumPro (MES) feature/functionality or new CFT deployment

  • Deploy SpectrumPro (MES) new version to the QA environment (swap from staging to QA) and to the production environment (swap from staging to production)

  • Develop Java flexscripts

  • Design and develop labels using Loftware/Bartender

  • Facilitate and execute the deployment of SpectrumPro for new CFT implementation

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Proven track record of successful client relationship management, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and effectively navigate conflicts or disagreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Advanced knowledge of Celestica IT architecture strategies

  • Adaptability and resilience, demonstrated by the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, quickly adjust to changing priorities or circumstances, and persevere in the face of challenges to deliver exceptional results for clients.

  • Strong understanding of web service architecture, RESTful APIs, Postman, authentication protocols, Javascript, JSON, and XML

  • Understanding of the structure of web-based user interfaces, including HTML, CSS, URLs and URL parameters

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory

  • Experience on factory automation and machine integration

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
