Job Description :
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to install, maintain and repair all types of complex electrical equipment, facility data cabling, and power distribution circuits at the Richardson, TX facility. Coordinates, instructs, constructs, installs, modifies, maintains, tests, calibrates, troubleshoots and repairs all types of complex electrical and electronic equipment, voice and date cabling including fiber optics, security/alarm systems, energy management systems, and power distribution circuits by referring to complicated schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, operational specifications, and manuals. Periodically checks equipment performance to assure conformance to required standards and performs preventative maintenance of electrical equipment. Operates all plant equipment necessary in test, repair and installation work. Installs scaffolding as required in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Works to sufficient accuracy to meet insurance underwriter, company requirements and building code standards of safety for electrical work. Will be required to act quickly and decisively in emergencies in order to avoid damage to plant and equipment and to prevent production delays. Maintains necessary records including time keeping records, construction as-built drawings, preventative maintenance, etc.Required Skills:
Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license with a minimum of 4 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician
Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain, hold, and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the field of industrial electronics and electricity, including both theory and practice
Must have ability to install, troubleshoot, modify and repair a wide variety of electrical motors, power stations, transmission lines, fiber optics, etc.
Must be able to read, understand and work from complicated drawings, diagrams, etc
Must be familiar with industrial three and four wire circuits, and formulas of National Electric Code
Must have extensive knowledge of mechanical principals and electronic machine controls as well as a wide variety of testing equipment
Must have initiative to improvise in emergencies and to modify equipment for special purposes in the absence of drawings or precedents
Construct, install, modify and repair all types of electrical power distribution, and facility data cabling
Locate and correct any electrical trouble including hot circuits on equipment
Use materials such as conduit, wire of various sizes, tape, solder, bus bars, etc. May be required to lift/handle heavier pipes, wiring, cables, panels, etc.
Keep and maintain necessary records
Certified in optical fiber and copper network infrastructure maintenance for end users
Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly, and handle heavier components/items on an occasional basis.
Requires stooping, bending, and working in awkward positions. Will frequently work while standing on ladders and scaffolds.
Must have a valid driver's license to drive around the site.
Desired Skills:
Ability to operate a powered man-lift.
