We are seeking a Director, Relationship Management who will:

  • Lead a team of consultant relation advisors to increase brand and service offering awareness among key consulting firms and their teams.

  • Develop and execute on Workplace Financial Services’ consultant engagement strategy to drive new business opportunities through key consulting firms and retirement consultants/advisors.

  • Drive growth by strengthening relationships and communicating effectively via all appropriate means (e.g., face-to-face, phone, email, webinars, conferences, etc.) with senior level executives of the industry’s most influential retirement plan consulting firms, retirement consultant/advisors, and field contacts.

  • Strategically review and align resources to deepen relationships with key consultants in the industry.

  • Provide Business Acceptance with consultant trends and insights related to firm specific strategic priorities that may impact pricing.

  • Work closely with Consultant Support in completion of consultant requested inquiries, providing direction to Consultant Support where needed.

  • Support satisfaction levels by working closely with the Schwab Sales, Service, and Investment Teams to identify and facilitate opportunities to address retirement Plan consultant/advisor and plan sponsor needs.

  • Establish Schwab as a trusted partner and industry thought leader by providing consultant firms, retirement consultants/advisors, field representatives, and research teams with insights on industry trends and topics.

  • Maintain strong consultant/advisor engagement levels by conducting due diligence meetings to review changes or enhancements to Schwab’s offering, product, and/or perceptions in the marketplace.

  • Serve as a main contact and facilitator for any consultant or advisor retirement-related requests for both the home office and the field.

  • Communicate consultant insights internally to our key business partners and service teams.

  • Coach and develop talent for consultant relations effectiveness.

  • Base Compensation: $101,000 - $224,400. Your compensation may be different. Talk with your Talent Advisor to learn more. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or other incentive opportunities.

What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of directly related work experience in sales, retirement consulting and/or relationship management.

  • 7-10 years people leadership experience, with experience in sales leadership preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) required.

  • Excellent prioritization skills.

  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 & 66 (or 63/65) licenses required (may consider a condition of employment for highly qualified candidates).

  • FINRA fingerprinting required.

  • Ability to build and cultivate strong, reputable relationships with key consulting firms and their internal decision makers.

  • In depth knowledge of retirement plan markets and investment solutions.

  • Success communicating via multiple channels and building strong business relationships.

  • Will travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays, via air travel, train, and/or automobile to various states to attend meetings with key parties within assigned distribution channels. Normal working conditions, remote available.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
