Manfacturing Technician PRODUCTION Richland, WA * ID: 2554-378 * Full-Time/Regular What You've Accomplished You have completed a high school diploma or its equivalent plus a minimum of 1 year related experience. Handle and transport drums and buckets of uranium material according to procedures. All assignments involve training to gain knowledge of applicable Standard Operating Procedures, Process Specifications, Radiation Work Procedures, and Criticality Specifications. Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as full-face or fresh air supplied respirator. As a Manufacturing Technician in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include: Learning to operate various equipment to convert, dissolve, purify, and process uranium materials in a safe and proficient manner. The processed uranium product will be used in downstream processes to create fuel to produce carbon free electricity in nuclear power plants. You will also learn how to read different instruments to help you in your processing duties. You will gain experience using computer software and hardware with several data bases to electronically transfer and track materials and products. You will develop process and equipment troubleshooting skills. You will learn how to handle uranium safely.
