EFC Equipment is looking for a full time small engine mechanics for outdoor power equipment and compact diesel tractors. At EFC we strive to be the best not the biggest. Must be a highly self motivated mechanic that can think outside of the box and is looking for long term employment. In house and offsite yearly training included. Full benefits including overtime, medical and vacation available. Pay is based on experience, education, attitude and 90 day probationary period where you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
complete toolbox that includes all applicable trade, hand and power tools related to small engine repairs
Tools must be in good functional working order
Cleaning work area, as necessary, to maintain a safe work environment
Maintain a positive professional attitude even in high stress situations
Willing to work overtime
Punctual and on time to work
Maintain continuing education and certifications required by individual equipment manufacturers
Ability to work in extreme cold and heat.
2 and 4 cycle experience a must...no exceptions
Ability to operate a forklift safely and proficiently
Equipment to be serviced and repaired. More than a basic knowledge required:
Push and self propelled lawn mowers both residential and commercial
Lawn and garden tractors
Chainsaws
Trimmers both string and hedge
Compact diesel tractors
Handheld and backpack blowers
Electric outdoor power equipment
Sprayers
General outdoor power related equipment
As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will need to troubleshoot equipment problems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.Small Engine Mechanic requirements:
1 - 2 years of experience with similar equipment
Trade school education minimum one completed year
Ability to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipment
Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Personal and professional integrity
Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
Flexibility regarding work assignments
Maintain a valid Washington state driver's license. No DUI or misdemeanor driving records
