PrimeFlight Aviation Services Ramp Supervisor in Richmond, British Columbia

Description

Reports to: Station Manager.

The Supervisor is responsible for a team of frontline employees in a specific department. The Supervisor communicates company goals, safety/security practices, task assignments and objectives to the team, and motivates team members and assesses performance.

The Supervisor is responsible for completing assigned tasks according to Company and customer requirements. Additionally, the Supervisor provides help to management and keeps them updated on team performance.

Job Description Summary:

Ensures a safe work environment by following all the Company and customer rules and regulations regarding the workplace.

  • Give direction and assign tasks to subordinates.

  • Serve as first line of supervision.

  • Understand contract requirements and customer expectations.

  • Interprets and communicates items that are in question in the manuals and/or Company policies to employees.

  • Monitor and/or conduct required training of personnel.

  • Ensuring compliance with established Company and customer safety/security policies and procedures.

  • Maintain working relationship with customers and provide prompt response to service requests.

Requirements:

  • 19 years of age

  • Must be able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)

  • Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week. Airlines are 24/7, so we require our team to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

  • Able to follow PrimeFlight Aviation safety guidelines for transporting the physically challenged

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED

Education/Experience:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Computer, tablet or smart phone ability.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver License
