Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Ridgefield, Washington

Description

We are offering a contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Ridgefield, Washington, United States. The selected candidate will be joining a team within the telecom provider industry. This role involves handling a variety of financial and administrative tasks such as invoice processing, payment verification, and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct data entry processing and document scanning of invoices into accounting systems.

• Perform three-way match of Purchase Order/Receipt/Invoice; follow up with internal business partners on any discrepancies.

• Process normal monthly rents, company services, utility bills, and their applicable payments.

• Enter approved bills into accounting database (legal, insurance, other professional services, etc.); verify for proper approval limits.

• Conduct supplier account statement reconciliations; request missing invoices and credits as needed.

• Record accruals as needed at month end, including recurring entries for unbilled expenses.

• Void and reissue check payments when needed, and record appropriately

• Provide customer service to outside vendors regarding payment, past due invoices, questions on checks received or other issues concerning vendor accounts.

• Provide customer service to internal business partners; confirm proper treatment of payment requests.

• Recommend and assist with implementation of process efficiencies and other value-add improvements.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and systems

• Experience in Coding Invoices is essential

• Familiarity with Purchase Orders and their management

• Knowledge and understanding of Form 1099 processing

• Proven experience in Vendor Management

• Demonstrable ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in detailed work

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
