Ahern is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician to fulfill service work with customers in Rochester, MN, and surrounding areas.In this role, you will troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues, conduct preventative maintenance on chillers, rooftop units, air handling units, hot water pumps, boilers, and burners, and perform combustion tuning.In this role you will service a wide variety of industries including; heavy industrial, commercial, schools, healthcare, and food plants.Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement.This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your exceptional customer service skills while actively engaging with Ahern's service customers. What you need to qualify? Qualified candidates must be a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician with 5+ years of experience ideally working on owner direct service work. The position requires a candidate to have a universal Refrigerant certification.Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles, be able to travel for the position, and pass appropriate drug screen and physical (the job entails a great deal of lifting and climbing). Successfulcandidates must be self-starters, have a strong mechanical background, have a good working and learning attitude, and be able to work in a fast-paced construction environment (both in and outdoors).
