University of Rochester Alzheimer's Disease Care, Research and Education (ADCARE) - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

Full time position available, Monday -Friday days.

Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the AD-CARE APP functions within the full scope of clinical practice, which includes being responsible for the process of patient identification, assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and coordination of care to meet the patient’s health care needs. The APP will collaborate with clinical trial study team to ensure safe, quality care during the patient’s entire course of participation in a clinical research trial. Other specific responsibilities include clinical trial coordination, obtaining patient and caregiver consent and past medical history, verifying patient clinical trial eligibility, administering clinical assessment scales, completing physical and neurological exams, administering study medication and recruiting patients.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $44.71-67.07

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
