POSITION SUMMARY:
Support HR Colleagues and organization in the successful execution of ongoing HR Processes/Audits, including performance management, compensation administration and benefits support
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for New York State leave management – Workers compensation, FMLA, PFL, STD, LTD
Ensure the administration of base compensation and merit programs within policy and practice
Maintain data and files of job descriptions, salary ranges, and grade levels
Monitor and review compensation plan to maintain market positions through participation in compensation and benefit surveys
Administers performance appraisal cycle, including salary changes, letters to employees and data entry
Responsible for HR Data Integrity and ongoing process to maintain and audit HR Data
Assist in coordination of annual benefits open enrollment, including employee communications and assistance enrollment process
Assistance with payroll audit/serve as back up to payroll processing as necessary
Audit corporate vendor invoicing for accuracy, timely payment and preparation for approval
Help prepare government filings, plan audits and other reporting requirements
Manage monthly HR reporting
Participate in other HR projects and initiatives, as needed
Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience in related field required
2 years professional level Compensation, Benefits & Leave Admin experience required
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills
Strong proficiency in MS Office/PC skills, Advanced Excel proficiency
Experience with Payroll/HRIS software
Strong customer service orientation
Experience with Payroll/HRIS software, ADP experience preferred
Ability to learn quickly; understand and communicate the Company's organizational structure, culture, positions, policies and procedures and possess solid knowledge of applicable laws and best practices
Attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous process improvement
Intermediate to advanced database reporting skills
Strong team player with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regularly required to sit, use hands
Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds
Sedentary office environment
Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.)
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant)
