University of Rochester UR Ambulatory Orthopaedics Trauma Division - RN, Nurse Navigator in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

UR Medicine Orthopaedics is offering an exciting opportunity to work with the UR Ambulatory Trauma Division team at AO Marketplace (Henrietta) location. Responsibilities include: direct patient care, telephone management, patient triage, coordination of care, and collaboration with various disciplines within the patient care team. The telephone triage includes ED and hospital follow ups, and other various calls or MyChart messages that patients need answers to, aiding the trauma surgeons and APPs and limiting the messages being sent to division chief for triage of consultations. The candidate will work alongside and rotate among supporting APPs and trauma surgeons who are on call. Further opportunity for patient care includes nursing visit checks for cast/ splint changes, wound checks, suture removal and/or DME brace dispensements. Must be organized, demonstrate effective time management, and possess strong assessment and communication skills. Requires 3 years of nursing care experience, with some outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Nursing required; if currently an Associate's Degree RN, nurse has 5 years to complete the BSN. Three to Five years of Nursing experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships and technical skills. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in NYS; certification in a Nursing specialty area preferred.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $36.37 - $47.28

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
