Northwest Farm Credit Services Loan Accountant in Rocklin, California

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of a Loan Accountant I or II to join our Loan Accounting in Rocklin, California. This full-time position reports to the Director of Loan Accounting and provides centralized support for all functions relating to the analysis, monitoring and loan accounting of the organization's portfolios. This position is eligible for a coordinated hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position in Rocklin, California is: Level I: $59,000 - $89,000 bonus at target is 8% of salary. Level II: $66,000 - $99,000 bonus at target is 8% of salary. Job Requirements Analyze and identify loan product characteristics to determine how they will function operationally within the loan accounting system. Review copies of loan documents and credit agreements for accuracy and consistency. Coordinate with Legal department to ensure development of accurate and consistent loan documentation. Complete loan record set-up and accounting for loan records. Communicate with commercial banks and Farm Credit entities nationwide, regarding loan accounting activities on participated and syndicated loans purchased and/or sold by AgWest to ensure compliance with the loan documents. Provide accounting for participant's pro-rata share of participated loans purchased and/or sold. Coordinate as needed with team members, all business units and branch staff to provide quality loan accounting services. Provide guidance and accounting expertise to the relationship team in Large Loan Committee meetings for new loan and related product development for existing and potential customers. Provide operational assistance and consultation on how to structure loan within the loan accounting system to all business units and branch personnel on complex loans and related financial products. Perform complex loan accounting, maintenance, and corrections to support the field utilizing appropriate computer programs. Develop and implement automated daily and monthly reporting to monitor the organization's portfolios for activity relating to loan accounting. Perform other reporting and daily/monthly reconciliations as required. Prepares detailed and organized work papers to support daily work and reconcilements. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Generally requires one or more years' experience in general business, accounting, finance or similar role in an office setting Comfortable using MS Office Suite, especially Excel or similar spreadsheet application Basic understanding or accounting principals Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proven time management skills with a proactive approach to deadlines Preferred Requirements General knowledge of loan accounting and/or general ledge systems General understanding of credit related laws and regulations Benefits Offered by AgWest Medical, dental, and
