Description
We are seeking a Medical Front Desk Specialist in Rocklin, California. This role involves managing front desk operations in a medical setting, utilizing various medical software systems. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Hours will be M-F and Saturday.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize EHR SYSTEM and Medisoft for patient scheduling and check-in procedures.
• Handle patient inquiries related to appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance matters.
• Use Microsoft Excel to maintain and update patient records regularly.
• Leverage knowledge of athenahealth and AWS Athena to manage patient data efficiently.
• Provide support in urgent care situations, ensuring timely response and efficient patient management.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with medical professionals and staff to ensure smooth front desk operations.
• Resolve patient issues promptly and professionally.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in medical software.
• Adhere to all company policies and regulations.
Requirements
• Proficiency in the use of EHR System for managing patient data and medical records
• Ability to use Medical Software for managing and organizing patient information
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and record keeping
• Knowledge of Insurance protocols and policies in a healthcare setting
• Experience with athenahealth for managing electronic health records
• Capable of managing Patient Scheduling to ensure smooth running of the medical facility
• Comfortable with managing Patient Check-in processes in a busy environment
• Experience in an Urgent Care setting, handling emergency cases efficiently and professionally.
