Uber Freight Engineering works strategically with potential clients to gain an understanding of their specific supply chain challenges and to jointly explore supply chain improvement opportunities. In addition, the engineering group provides tactical decision-making services that bridge the gap between strategic planning and operational execution. Our clients have taken advantage of our multi-level approach and have realized benefits such as improved utilization of private fleet operations, lowest cost mode conversion, assignment of carriers to dedicated lanes and reduction of detention and accessorial charges.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Project Management - Coordinate SME assignments with cross-functional teams, holding all participants accountable to project milestones and deadlines.
  • Analytical Support - Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations in both timeliness and quality
  • Statistical Analysis - Apply customer\'s operational requirements to model within the Uber Freight optimization framework. Use advanced modeling to evaluate and optimize the customer\'s transportation and distribution network.
  • Supply Chain Solutions - Utilize Uber Freight market knowledge and leverage existing Uber Freight data Research & Development

Travel

  • 20-30%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field
  • 7-10 years of related experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain Network Design software such as Coupas Supply Chain Guru X or similar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD. degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research
  • Working Knowledge of SQL and Tableau
  • Advanced knowledge of optimization software
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Transportation industry
  • 3 years people management
