ADP Consolidations Manager in Roseland, New Jersey

As Consolidations Manager, you will utilize your expertise in accounting and finance to build out reporting for executive team members and provide clarity to financials. In this role, you will take ownership of assigned areas for SEC external reporting and be involved in developing recommendations for policy, controls, and actions. Additionally, you will challenge data and information integrity and reliability.

What you’ll do:

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual analytics for key financial statements, detailing year-over-year changes.

  • Review and approve Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) maintenance changes from a consolidations perspective. Understanding the ramifications of implementing requests.

  • Coordinate with the Tax team on allocations, forecasts, HFM financial base data, and tax projects with the ability to understand how those projects translate into financial transactions.

  • Collaborate with the Treasury team on cash flow reporting, investments, intercompany loans and ad hoc requests.

  • Take ownership of sections of the consolidation and quarterly reporting processes working closely with internal and external auditors on SOX requirements.

  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently and multi-task multiple projects efficiently and effectively.

  • Engage in monthly consolidation close processes.

  • Experience. You have 8+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience gained and developed in the same, or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Consolidations experience, including expertise in external reporting and SOX compliance.

  • Experienced in investment and equity accounting, intercompany loan and settlement transactions, and related currency translation impacts.

  • Experienced in performing variance analyses of consolidated financials statements and how they interact with each other.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion Planning experience.

  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral, with experience leading discussions with peers and managers.

  • Possess an inquisitive and analytical mind; continuously questioning the status quo and working to improve existing processes.

  • Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, team-oriented individual with the ability to partner with others to achieve assigned projects. Must be able to handle working on different projects with different people at the same time.

  • You'll have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.

For additional comfortability in this role:

  • Oracle experience as well as understanding how data gets from Accounting systems to reporting systems.

  • Prior experience in F/X transactions and understanding how to apply certain exchange rates to certain transactions
