Hunt Forest Products Facilities Support in Ruston, Louisiana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facilities Support will be responsible for a wide range of projects, maintenance, repairs, and assistance with special projects across multiple Hunt owned properties, both professional and residential. The ideal candidate should be adept in preventative maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, cosmetic upkeep, and appliance or equipment installation.

Responsibilities

  • General building cleaning and maintenance, as needed across multiple properties.

  • Basic repair and maintenance of machines and equipment; may require some building or installation.

  • Lawn and property maintenance as needed.

  • Maintenance and care of Hunt owned tools and equipment.

  • Purchase, pick-up, and delivery of materials as needed for events or projects.

  • Oversee contracted work and effectively communicate status, updates, and needs.

  • Recognize when task is outside scope of abilities and offer recommendations for resolution.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to complete a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to use common power tools and hand tools

  • Ability and experience with farm equipment such as tractors and implements is a must.

  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills.

  • Physical ability to climb, stand, bend, squat, crouch, lift, carry 50+ pounds.

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to keep schedule flexible.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in similar role

  • Willingness to work in various outdoor conditions.
