Job Title: Senior Buyer
Job Description
Join our team as a Senior Buyer in Saginaw, Michigan, where you will handle the procurement of all direct and indirect materials and services from Monday to Friday in a fully onsite role. Initially a contract position, there is a very high likelihood of transitioning to a direct role with a potential promotion to Procurement Manager within 6 months, which includes a pay increase. Your responsibilities will include executing purchase orders, managing supplier relations, driving cost reductions, and improving procurement processes. You will also support various departments including Planning, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure their procurement needs are met.
Hard Skills
5+ years of Purchasing/Supply Chain Experience
5+ years of Negotiation
ERP, MRP experience
Ability to read blueprints (preferred)
CPM/CPIM certification (preferred)
Soft Skills
Clear professional communication
Robust decision-making
Effective project management

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Saginaw, Michigan.
Work Environment
You will be reporting directly to the COO and CEO. The work environment varies from moderate noise levels in the office to louder levels on the manufacturing floor where safety glasses and hearing protection are required. Travel is necessary as per job demands. This role requires adaptability to both office settings and active manufacturing environments.
