Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks related to managing and processing accounts payable for our organization. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the process of receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

• Regularly enter invoices and journal entries into the accounting system.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with purchase orders.

• Ensure timely and accurate data entry for all numeric data related to accounts payable.

• Regularly review customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to handle delinquent payments.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications as needed.

• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to resolve any issues or inquiries related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

• Continually improve the accounts payable process to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Ability to prepare and input journal entries accurately

• Knowledge of the purchase order system and its related processes

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high volume environments

• Excellent organizational skills to manage and track multiple tasks and deadlines

• Proficient in using computer software and tools related to accounting tasks

• Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams

• Familiarity with accounting regulations and standards

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
