Aston Carter Senior Business Analyst in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description:

Job Summary: The Business Analyst is responsible for assessing and improving accounting processes within the organization. They collaborate with stakeholders, analyze financial reports, and provide recommendations based on their findings. This role involves documenting SOPs, identifying automation opportunities, and enhancing business operations.

Map Out Business Processes:

Analyze existing accounting procedures and document them comprehensively.

Identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

Document SOPs:

Create clear and well-structured documentation for accounting processes.

Ensure SOPs are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant teams.

Collaborate with Stakeholders:

Work closely with accounting teams, executives, and other departments.

Encourage collaboration and gather input for process enhancements.

Support Project Implementation:

Assist with project management for selected initiatives.

Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Gather and analyze data related to accounting operations.

Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate performance.

Process Improvement:

Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.

Validate requirements with stakeholders.

Automation Opportunities:

Identify areas where automation can streamline accounting processes.

Collaborate with IT teams to implement automation solutions.

Must Have's:

3+ years of Business Analyst experience (supporting documentation and enhancing accounting processes)

Open to background - if someone is coming from Loan Accounting world with a lot of project work, that would also be sufficient.
